Video: Life Happens Online - Staying in touch

  • Transcript

(“Life Happens Online” theme plays. On screen, we see a series of images: an email from Mark Zuckerberg saying the user has won a contest, with the words “Life Happens Online”, a can of Life Happens Online ranch soda, a computer window to join the Life Happens Online wi-fi network, and a pile of boxes on a front porch with “Life Happens Online” written on the biggest box”)

(Noémie stands in their kitchen, talking on their phone)

NOÉMIE: Okay and what does the email say. (pause)

I don’t think that you should click on that.

(The screen cuts to a different scene of them now sitting on a couch, talking to the camera)

NOÉMIE: So my brother got a phishing email today, so that’s been fun.

(They give a frustrated smile, before the scene cuts back to them talking on the phone)

NOÉMIE: I don’t think that the biggest streaming service in the world is going to spell their own name wrong in an email. Do you even have an account with them? (pause)

I think that this is a scam and you should just delete it, okay?

(They stop talking on the phone and begin texting with it, when they receive a notification and the camera shows the phone screen, with a message from their brother)

TEXT ON SCREEN: YOU WON’T BELIEVE IT! I WON A CONTEST! I NEVER EVEN ENTERED

(A notification appears on the phone)

TEXT ON SCREEN: Don’t worry, I got this one.

(They smile and put their phone down, the phone responds on its own to the brother’s message)

TEXT ON SCREEN: DON’T CLICK THAT LINK!

(Screen cuts to purple background with text overtop as the “Life Happens Online” theme plays)
